William McCaffity, 46, of Havelock, passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at his home.

The family will hold a private service to honor William at a later date.

William was born on August 14, 1979, in Morehead City, N.C., to Lewis Albert McCaffity and Reba Radford. He will be remembered most for his quirky sense of humor, compassionate heart, and boundless generosity.

William had a unique way of making people smile, often with an unexpected joke or witty remark that would surely brighten anyone’s day. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand or share what he had with anyone in need. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his mother, Reba Radford of Morehead City, N.C.; father, Lewis Albert McCaffity (Candy) of Georgia; brothers, Chris McCaffity (Cindy) of Morehead City, N.C., Kevin McCaffity of Havelock, N.C.; stepsister, Kelly Liquia of Florida; adopted sister, Sissy McKee Nichols of Indian Beach, N.C.; and second mom, Jane Holbrook of Newport, N.C.

William was preceded in death by his second dad, David Radford.
