William E. Krotz, 67, of Havelock, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, at his home.

William was born on July 19, 1958, in Portland, Oregon, to the late Daniel and Phyllis Krotz. A devoted husband, loving father, and proud grandfather known for is unwavering loyalty, kind heart, and willingness to help anyone in need. William dedicated much of his life to his family, always putting them first and making sure they felt supported in every way.

For over 10 years, William served as a softball coach, where he not only shared his knowledge of the game but also his values of teamwork, dedication, and perseverance. Coaching his own daughters was one of his greatest joys, and he made a lasting impact on the lives of many young athletes both on and off the field.

William was a natural teacher who had a gift for showing others how to do just about anything. Known as a true “jack of all trades,” there was rarely a problem he couldn’t fix or a skill he couldn’t master. He loved being outdoors, whether he was fishing, enjoying nature, or just spending time outside. William will be remembered for the love he gave so freely and the cherished memories he leaves behind.

Those left to treasure his memory are his loving wife Memia of the home; daughters, Casandra George (Ryan) of Havelock, N.C., Elizabeth Lawson (Richard Jr.) of Jacksonville, FL.; sister, Laura Krotz of Portland, Or.; grandchildren, Kyedan George, Cayson George, Rowan Lawson, and Azylise George.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Daniel Krotz Jr. and John.
