William “Denny” Faust, 79, of Newport, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 26, 2025, at Crystal Coast Hospice House.
A funeral service to honor Denny’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, October 29th at Reece’s Chapel, officiated by Rev. James Chadwick. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6p.m. until 8 p.m., Tuesday, October 28th at Reece’s Chapel. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website.
Denny was born on November 29, 1945, in Portsmouth, Virginia, to the late William B. and Elizabeth Faust. Denny graduated from Cradock High School in 1964. He honorably served his country in the United States Air Force and retired. Following his military career he retired from civil service in 2011.
Denny was a member of Reece’s Chapel Baptist Church. He was a Deacon and an active part of the congregation. Denny was always ready to help anybody. He will be remembered for his smile, quick wit, and ability to fix anything.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife, Dorothy Culpepper Faust of the home; son, Charles Faust of Warrington, Pennsylvania; and sister, Nancy Faust of Portsmouth, Virginia.
In addition to his parents, Denny was preceded in death by his brother, Charlie Emory.
