William "Bill" Wahmhoff Sr.

William “Bill” Wahmhoff Sr., 73, of Peletier, passed away Thursday, December 21, 2023, at Carteret Health Care.

A service will be planned at a later date.

Bill was born on December 26, 1949, in Plainwell, Michigan, to the late George and Faye Wahmhoff. He spent his early years in that picturesque town of his birth, before embarking on a new chapter in Eastern North Carolina in 2004. A true craftsman at heart, Bill was known for his skills as a handyman and repair expert. He had a hands-on approach and could tackle any job that presented itself.  Bill was always willing to give a helping hand to those in need. His presence and endless jokes brought joy to those around him, and he will be deeply missed.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his wife, Cheri Wahmhoff of the home; son, Will Wahmhoff (companion, Desiree Mieles) of Peletier; sister, Evelyn; brother, Happy Guy Wahmhoff of Iron Mountain, Michigan; and grandchildren, William Wahmhoff III, Taylor Wahmhoff, and Cozmo Wahmhoff.

In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by his daughter, Tracy Wahmhoff.
