Weldon E. ?Peter? Willis, 65, of Harker?s Island, died Tuesday, September 7, 2010, at East Carolina Medical Center.
Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Friday at Vergie Mae Cemetery with Joel Hancock and Rev. Tom Gift officiating.
Mr. Willis was a commercial fisherman and boat builder who enjoyed decoy carving.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dora Willis; son James Edward Willis and fianc�e Alison Tomlinson; two sisters Veta Guthrie and husband Craig, and Theresa Hedgepeth and husband Dennis, all of Harkers Island; two grandsons, Edward Ross Willis, and Jackson Thomas Willis; several nieces and nephews, and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Mary Willis.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
