Walter L. Mace, Jr., 68, of Swansboro, NC died Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Carteret General Hospital.
A Funeral Mass will be held 2:00 pm Monday at Munden Funeral Home with Wojciech Chudziak presiding. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
Mr. Mace is survived by his wife, Betty M. Mace of Swansboro, NC; daughters, Lisa Holton, Laurie Bligh, and Anita Godwin, all of Virginia Beach, VA; sons, Michael Mace, also of Virginia Beach, VA and Jimmy Mace of AR; step-children, Betty Denise Holley and Dennis Wayne Boyd, both of Newport, NC; ten grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Rosemary McLaughlin of Woburn, MA; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lawrence Mace and Rose Marie Elliott Mace and brother, Lawrence E. Mace.
The family will receive friends 6:00 to 8:00 pm Sunday at the funeral home.
