Walter Andrus, Sr.
January 9, 1935 — September 27, 2009
Walter Andrus, Sr., 74 of Mill Creek, died Sunday, September 27, 2009, at Carteret General Hospital.
Mr. Andrus was an avid farmer.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Richard Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Oceanview Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Joann Andrus of the home; two sons, Walter Andrus, Jr. of Mill Creek and Phillip Andrus of Broad Creek; three daughters, Debra Andrus of Newport, Greta Andrus of New Hampshire, and Jewel Huff of Core Creek; four brothers, Roger Andrus and wife Judy, Michael Andrus and wife Beverly, Theodore Andrus and wife Louise, and Bryant Andrus and wife Carroll all of New Hampshire; also 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Max and Florence Andrus, and two grandchildren, Carmen Andrus and Justin Andrus.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
