Vivian Earl Wilson, 89, of Havelock, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August, 29, 2026, at her home.

A funeral service to honor Vivian’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, September 1 at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock, officiated by Pastor Mitch Wilson and Pastor Ken McCoy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Vivian Earl Wilson lived a life marked by faith, love, service, and an unwavering devotion to Jesus Christ. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, and faithful servant of the Lord whose influence reached far beyond her own family.

Vivian spent her life honoring God and serving others. She faithfully served through her church and had a special heart for prison ministry. She carried the hope of the Gospel into places where it was desperately needed, sharing the love and saving grace of Jesus Christ with those whom others might have forgotten. Through her ministry, she had the privilege of leading hundreds of people to the Lord. The full impact of her life and testimony may only be known in eternity.

Psalm 128:3 beautifully reflects the legacy Vivian leaves behind:

“Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.”

Vivian truly was a fruitful vine and lived a life that flourished in the Lord and brought life, faith, encouragement, and love to those around her. And like the olive shoots around the family table, her children and the generations that followed represent strength, promise, and lasting spiritual fruit.

Her greatest legacy cannot be measured simply by the number of years she lived or even by the many people whose lives she touched. It can be seen in the faith she planted, the prayers she prayed, the people she led to Christ, and the generations gathered around the family table who will carry her love and testimony forward.

Vivian finished her earthly journey having spent her life pointing others toward Jesus. While she will be deeply missed, her family finds comfort in knowing that the faith she so faithfully proclaimed throughout her life has now become sight.

Her fruitful life continues through every life she touched, every soul she encouraged toward Christ, and every generation of her family that follows after her.

“Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful and trustworthy over a little, I will put you in charge of many things; share in the joy of your master.” (Matt 25:23)

Vivian was married to Lynn Wilson, with whom she built a life and family centered on faith and love. She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Mitchell and Becky Wilson and Jerry and Angie Wilson; and her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and James Anderson. Her family continued to grow through the generations, and she was richly blessed with nine grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.
