Vivian Louise Fields, 72, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Crystal Coast Hospice House.

Vivian was born on March 9, 1954, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Elmer and Evelyn Scott. She carried with her a strength and a vivacious spirit that touched the lives of those around her.

Her faith was the foundation of her life. As a devoted member of New Creation Church in Havelock, Vivian found comfort in prayer and lived each day guided by her deep beliefs and unwavering love for her family. She held strong family values and created a home filled with kindness, care, and compassion.

Vivian found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved spending time with friends at BINGO, tending to her garden, and caring for the animals she adored-especially her beloved dogs. Known for her gentle heart and sweet nature, she also never turned down a piece of chocolate, a small delight that always brought her a smile.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her son, Coy Fields II and his wife Elizabeth of Newport, NC; sister, Janet Evans of Newport, NC; brother, Bill Scott and wife Juanita of Ohio; and grandchildren, Jasmine Styron, Ivy Styron, and Phoenix Fields; great-grandchildren, Lucas Malton-Styron and Landon Malton-Styron; and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Vivian was preceded in death by her husband, Coy Fields; sister, Beverly Scott; and brother, Elmer Scott III.
