Virginia "Ginny" Ann Vitale Supple

Virginia "Ginny" Ann Vitale Supple, 84, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, August 6, 2025.

Ginny's service arrangements will be announced once finalized.

Ginny was born on July 28, 1941, to the late Louis and Helen Vitale. Born in Paterson, New Jersey, she and her family later moved to Avon, NJ.

Ginny pursued her passion for learning, graduating from Boston University in Massachusetts, New Paltz State College in New York, and Montclair State College in New Jersey. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Arts and Master’s Degree in Education and School Psychology. Ginny went on to have a long and successful career with the New York State Board of Education where she worked for 17 years as an elementary school teacher and 11 years as a school psychologist.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her son-in-law, Jeffrey Fisher of Newport, NC; step-daughters, Catherine Supple and her family of Hilton Head, SC and Cara Gaona and her family of San Antonio, TX; and grandson, Alex Fisher of Morehead City, NC.

In addition to her parents, Ginny was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Keating Supple in 2012; sister, Carole Vitale in 2012; and daughter, Debra Fisher in 2024.

As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made to St. Egbert Catholic Church, 1706 Evans St., Morehead City, NC 28557.
