Thomas Morton Menaugh, 76, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 5, 2026, at Carteret Health Care.

Thomas was born on October 26, 1949, in Kinston, North Carolina, to the late Morton and Sarah Menaugh. He was a graduate of East Carolina University with the Class of 1973, making his entire career in the insurance industry. His insurance career spanned the insurance company and the insurance agency sides of the industry. He began his career in Raleigh, NC and was promoted to various locations in the Southeast United States. Thomas served in insurance underwriting management, Special Risk Account Executive, Branch Office Senior Vice President, and Chief Operating Officer positions. He retired in 2024, to Morehead City, NC following a successful career.

Thomas is survived by his daughter, Sarah Kate Langdale and her family.
