Thomas Richmond Johnston, Sr.

Thomas Richmond Johnston, Sr., 71, of Emerald Isle, passed away Saturday, May 4, 2019, at his home.

The family will have a private service to honor the life of Thomas.

Tom was born November 13, 1947, in Corpus Cristi, Texas. He spent most of his adult life working as a salesman in southeastern Pennsylvania. He had a sincere passion for sharing his faith in Jesus through church ministries including children’s ministries and singing in the choir. Tom was a lover of the ocean and spent many hours fishing and enjoying the outdoors with his grandchildren. He enjoyed carving shore birds, turning pottery, and reading books about the Civil War.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley Johnston of the home; sons, Clinton Johnston of the home, and Thomas Johnston, Jr. and wife Lori and their children Zachary and Colby of Pelletier; sister, Jane Manze of Unionville, PA; sister-in-law Jane Johnston of Florida; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jane (Gladfelter) Johnston and brother, Robert Johnston, Jr.
