Ted Howard Conway

Ted Howard Conway, 88, of Sea Level, North Carolina, passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at Pruitt Health - Crystal Coast.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, May 30^th at Nelson Bay Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Ken Saleeby.

Born on March 25, 1936, in Beaufort, North Carolina, Ted was the son of the late Alex and Eva Conway. He devoted a significant portion of his life to serving in the United States Coast Guard from 1957 to 1967 and continued his service in the Coast Guard Reserves from 1971 until 1996. Alongside his military commitment, he contributed to Carteret Community College from 1969 until his retirement in 1996, where he worked as their bookstore clerk.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his dear friend, Kara Shepard and her family of Sea Level, and his brother, Ernest Glenn Conway of Ketchikan, Alaska.

In addition to his parents, Ted was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 43 years, Judith “Judy” Gaskill Conway and brother, Donald Ray Conway.
