Susan Beth Vassilakos-Abbott

Susan Beth (Vassilakos) Abbott-born May 2, 1952 joined her parents, Nicholas Vassilakos and Blanche (Plouf) Vassilakos as well as her three loving great danes, Kong, BJ and Bandit on September 5, 2009.

She will be dearly missed by her husband of 39 years James Abbott, daughter Dawn (Abbott) Spain and her husband Keith; a brother Winfield (Bouncer) Belanger, and wife Polly ( Bernasconi) of Willsboro NY; a sister Katherine (Tina Vassilakos) Smith and husband Tom of Hudson NH. She is also survived by her nephews and nieces; Michael Belanger and wife Elaine; Wanda (Belanger) Dunn, husband David and their children Cassandra and Clayton; Sharon (Smith) Tomasulo, husband Michael and son Adam; Marsha Smith and Dylan Smith. Her survivors include many in-laws, aunts, cousins, close friends and extended loving U.S. Marine Corps family.

Susan enjoyed spending time with her husband, her best friend (daughter Dawn) her family and her 5 dogs. She spent her life doing what made her happy, tanning, mowing the lawn, in her pool, playing on computers and repairing them. She was a very special person who had a warm loving personality and many friends that will miss her wonderful smile. She left everyone too soon; all who loved her will miss that ever-present smiling face. The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in memory of Susan Vassilakos Abbott to the Humane Society or the American Cancer Society's Hope Lodge.
