Suenie Bell Crooms

Suenie Bell Crooms, 81, formerly of Beaufort, North Carolina, assumed her heavenly seat with the Lord on June 13, 2025.

A memorial service to honor Suenie’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 19th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, NC.

Born on September 14, 1944, Suenie was the daughter of the late Tony Crooms and Nettie Gray Jordan Crooms. She attended Queen Street High School and was an active cheerleader during her four-year attendance. Upon graduating, she embarked on a course study to become a nurse's assistant and subsequently continued her professional development by becoming a registered nurse in New York City, where she provided faithful service until her retirement.

Suenie is survived by her children, William Lewis Crooms of Beaufort, NC, Marvinia Delphane Davis of Charleston, SC, and Milton McCoy Crooms of Havelock, NC; brothers, William Jordan of Baltimore, MD, James Rudolph Crooms Jordan of Fayetteville, NC, Antonio “Tony” Crooms of Beaufort, NC, and Thomas Crooms of Beaufort, NC; grandchildren, Jason Keith Bellard (Jessica) of Bronx, NY, Carnika Simmons, Chandele Simmons, and Thyais Simmons, all of Beaufort, NC, Rashanda Davis of Greensboro, NC, and April Davis of Havelock, NC; great-grandchildren, Jillian Bellard and Jason Bellard Jr., Trevonte Simmons, Nasir Hargett, Jacia Simmons, all of Beaufort, NC; nieces, Jaqueline Jordan of Henrietta, NY, Amanda Crooms of Beaufort, NC and Sandra Jordan of Fayetteville, NC; nephews, Kevin Crooms and Britt Crooms; and a host of cousins, great nieces and nephews, and friends.

In addition to her parents, Suenie was preceded in death by her baby sister, Ann Crooms.
