Steven Franklin Melton

Steven Franklin Melton, 69, of Newport, passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the Carteret House in Newport.

Steven was born on December 16, 1952, in Sikeston, Missouri. Following high school, he honorably served in the United States Army.

He is survived by his father, Howard Melton of Matthews, Missouri; brothers, Michael Melton (and family) of Matthews, Missouri, and Anthony Melton (and family) of Sikeston, Missouri; sister, Tammy Melton of Dexter, Missouri; daughters, Jennifer Melton of Morehead City, North Carolina, Paula Jenkins of Chappells, South Carolina; granddaughter, Haleigh Moore and husband Jay of Morehead City, North Carolina; and great-grandchildren, Carson and Roanna Moore.

Steven was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi M Melton, and his wife, Connie Melton of Newport.
