SSgt. James (Willy) Williams

SSgt. James (Willy) Dell Williams, USMC (Ret), 82, of Newport, passed away Thursday, April 6, 2017 at Carteret Health Care.
His graveside service will be held 2:30 pm Saturday, April 8, 2017 at Gethsemane Memorial Park in Morehead City with Rev. Mitchell Parker officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Marie Elizabeth Williams of the home; daughters, Sheryl Lynn Dreher and Ruth Tripp Davenport; son, Robert Tripp; grandchildren, Crystal Wright, James Dreher, Sheila Moore, Chris Mayo, Ronnie Mayo, Scottie Tripp and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ervin Williams and Margaret Evelyn Guthrie Williams.
The family will receive friends 1:00 – 2:00 pm at Munden Funeral Home.
