Shirley E. Daniels

Shirley E. Daniels, 84, of Havelock, NC, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2024, with her family by her side at Carolina East Medical Center. 

Her funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Thursday, August 29, 2024, at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City, officiated by Rev. Kenny McCoy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Munden Funeral Home. 

A beloved wife, mother, and friend to many Shirley led a life of adventure. She loved hunting, camping, gardening, bird watching, and all kinds of sports. She was especially fond of racing and football and was delighted to share conversations on either topic showcasing her knowledge and passion for the topic. 

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her three children, Lisa Daniels of Atlantic, Keelie Kimmons (Kirk) of Havelock, Kenneth W “Chip” Daniels (Toni) of the home; adopted son, John Sharp of Dover; six granddaughters, Lela S Nelson (Zach), Autumn Daniels, Jolie Gaskill (Tim), Megan Yates, Brenna Kimmons and Trinity Norris; and seven great-grandchildren whom she adored, Bricen Goodwin, Adelyn Lewis, Gracelyn Brinson, Kenna Nelson, Ayden Lewis, Madison, and Hayden Henderson. 

Shirley is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Kenneth Wayne Daniels Sr. and daughter Jolie Nell Daniels.
