Sharon Coggins Woolard, 65, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Carteret Health Care.

A memorial service to honor Sharon's life will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, June 6, at Munden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10:30 a.m. until the service begins.

Sharon was born on October 9, 1960, in Greenville, NC, to Norma Coggins and the late Bobby Coggins.

She worked as a registered nurse, a profession that reflected her compassionate heart and gentle spirit. Following a traumatic brain injury, she found joy in life's quieter moments, especially the time she shared with her beloved husband, Tim, and her close circle of family and friends including her sister, Trudy Coggins Haider and her husband, Jacob, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Sharon was also the mother of two children and grandmother of two grandchildren.
