Fletcher Powell, 75, of Atlantic Beach, died Wednesday, September 10, 2014 at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service will be held 11:30 Friday at the Trinity Center Outdoor Pavilion at Pine Knoll Shores.
Fletcher was a teacher for over 20 years in Wake County, and a Realtor in Carteret County for 20 years. He was an avid hunter in Scotland Neck and Halifax County, and a fisherman and outdoorsman in Carteret County.
He is survived by a brother Bobby Powell and wife Deborah of Scotland Neck; best friend and love of his life Jacque Mason of Atlantic Beach; and a very large extended group of friends who were very much family to him.
Memorial donations may be made to Trinity Center PO Box 380 Pine Knoll Shores, NC 28512, or a charity of one's choice.
