Ronnie Boyd

Ronnie Boyd, a beloved son, brother, fiancé, and friend, passed away unexpectedly on August 16, 2023, at the age of 39 at his home in Trent Woods, NC.

A funeral service to celebrate Ronnie's life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, August 24th at Munden Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Amariah Garner Cemetery in Newport. The family will receive friends beginning at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. Born on February 5, 1984, in New Bern, North Carolina, he was the son of Mona Boyd and the late Ronnie Boyd. He grew up in Havelock where he attended Havelock High School and later graduated from Pitt Community College. He went on to work for Creative Outlet for four years, developing great friendships along the way. Ronnie later worked at Adams Beverage where he was employed since 2019.

Ronnie enjoyed fishing, the thrill of the catch, and the peacefulness of the water. He was a grill master and thoroughly enjoyed the process as well as the tasty meal he prepared. Ronnie was a fanatical Dallas Cowboy fan, faithful to his favorite team and rarely missing a game. More than anything, Ronnie appreciated time with his family, valuing their company and creating special memories with them.

Ronnie's sudden departure has left a void that can never be filled, and he will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved him.

His memory will forever be cherished by his loving fiancé, Kristina Watson of Trent Woods; adoring mother, Mona Boyd of Havelock; sisters, Erica Franks and husband Greg of Greenville, Heidi Bolneo and husband Carlos of Havelock, and Tara Labelle and husband Matthew of Havelock; brother Eric Morris and wife Julie of Amelia, OH; his Pitbull, Dallas Pedro Boyd; along with nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
