Ronald "Ron" Fairfield

Ronald "Ron" Fairfield, 72, of Mill Creek, North Carolina, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at his home.

There will be a gathering of family and friends from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m., Saturday, January 28th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City. A graveside service at Graham Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church will be held at a later date.

Ron was born on October 12, 1950, in Lebanon, Indiana, to the late Lonnie and Lois Fairfield. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps whose skill, precision, and commitment were evident through his role as a sniper during the Vietnam War.

Following the military, Ron worked as a welder, which he did faithfully until his retirement. In his free time, Ron enjoyed target shooting and putting that skill into practice on his deer hunting adventures. Being on the open road on his motorcycle was another hobby he thoroughly enjoyed.

Ron is survived by his loving wife, Linda Fairfield of the home; son, Joseph Fairfield and wife Sandra of Burke, VA; siblings, Linda Rosser of Seguin, TX and Randy Fairfield of Troy, MI; sister-in-law, Sherryl Burris of Raleigh; nephew, Jeremy Burris of Raleigh; and grandchildren, Emily Fairfield and Gavin Fairfield.
