Rev. Sherman Guthrie, 82, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2026, at Carteret Health Care.
A funeral service to honor Rev. Guthrie’s life will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 25th at Harkers Island Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery. The family will receive friends the evening prior from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, April 24th at Munden Funeral Home in Morehead City. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website.
