Rebecca "Becky" Vaughan

Rebecca “Becky” Dean Vaughan, 70 years young, of Troon Way in Beaufort, NC, passed away at her home on January 26, 2026.

Becky was born in Greensboro, NC on June 14, 1955, to the late Sidney JC Dean Sr. and Joyce Arlene Dean, both from Greensboro.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Morehead City, NC where she enjoyed singing in the choir and sharing her love of God.

Surviving is her sister, Crystal Dean Burkett and her husband Steven of Thomasville, NC; brothers, Mark Edward Dean and his wife Laura of McLeansville, NC and Larry Dean and his wife Mary of Greensboro, NC; along with many nieces and nephews that loved her very much.

In addition to her parents, Becky was predeceased by her son, Jonathan Michael Vaughan of Morehead City, NC, and her brothers, Sidney John C Dean Jr. of Greensboro, NC, and William David Dean of Pleasant Garden, NC.

A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
