R. Thomas “Tom” Jordan Jr., 65, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Crystal Coast Hospice House.

Celebration of Tom's life will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 13, at Ginger's Cafe at Summer Winds, 1505 Salter Path Road, Indian Beach, NC.

Tom was born on August 28, 1960, in Georgetown, South Carolina, to Roger Thomas and Joyce Hardee Jordan. He attended Winyah High School in Georgetown. Tom moved to Carteret County in the 1980’s and was employed at Summer Winds for over 37 years.

He managed the sports complex and Ginger’s Café at Summer Winds. He was known for his amazing Club sandwich and his top-notch homeowner socials that he arranged. Tom was a loyal and dedicated employee for over 37 years. May his memory be a treasure to all who knew and loved him.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his brother, Brian Keith Jordan of Georgetown, South Carolina; best friend Jose; along with friends and colleagues he considered as his family.

In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, David Allen Jordan; and other relatives.
