Philip Alan Ibbitson
September 4, 1957 — August 19, 2016
Philip Alan Ibbitson, 58, of Newport, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2016, at his home.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, August 26, 2016, between the hours of 6:00 pm – 8:00 pm, at Munden Funeral Home, Morehead City.
Phil served his country in the United States Marine Corps and retired after 20 years of service. In 1998, he started working for Boeing Aircraft Manufacturing Company as an aviation supplier. He also enjoyed coaching little league baseball as well as bowling.
He is survived by his daughters, Tabitha Beck and husband Billy Beck III and Shelby Dickman and husband Jonathon; son, Philip Ibbitson II; brother in-law, Dick Gaston; and grandchildren, Logan Beck and Billy Beck IV.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman Ibbitson and Alice Bronaugh; brother, Roger Ibbitson; and sister, Vicki Gaston.
