Patricia "Patty" Renfrow
Broyles
September 8, 1953 — July 6, 2026
Patricia "Patty" Renfrow Broyles, 72, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, July 6, 2026.
A memorial service to honor Patty’s life will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, July 11th at Munden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through her obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website.
Patty was born on September 8, 1953, in Raleigh, NC, to the late Council R. Renfrow and Emily Renfrow. She loved to fish with her dad, make homemade ice cream on any given holiday and she taught anyone who would sit long enough how to knit and crochet. Christmas was her favorite time of year. She loved the spirit of giving, often buying gifts for nearly everyone she knew. Her love for the season was so great that she would leave her Christmas tree decorated and glowing for nearly six months each year.
Patty would drop everything to play cards with her brother Jim or have lobster with her brother John. Patty had a special place in her brother Bob's heart, who took care of her yard. She was a great sister to "Boone" as she called her.
Patty married the love of her life, Eric, on April 17, 1993. They spent the final years of her life traveling together and touring the desert landscapes of the American West.
Those remaining to cherish her memory are her husband, Eric Warren Broyles; step-son, Bradley Dustin Broyles and wife Marie Anne; her siblings, John Renfrow, Emily B. Guthrie and husband George, Robert "Bob" Renfrow, and James "Jim" Renfrow; mother-in-law, Patricia Mary Broyles; brother-in-law, Joseph Allen Broyles and wife Delfina; sister-in-law, Vicki Lynne Salisbury; aunt, Betty Harrison; cousins, Elizabeth Harrison and Lee Harrison; step-granddaughter, Ava Marie Glaze; nieces and nephews, Summer Kelly and husband Jordan, Noah Renfrow and wife Lu, Dylan Renfrow, Susanne Allen, Jennifer Gore, Kristi Haynie, Heather Salisbury, Joseph Broyles, Aaron Broyles, Jessica Broyles, and Bryan Haynie; and great-nieces and nephews, Bailey, Cadence, Tucker, Josh, Matt, Jordan, Emma, Michael, Tiffany, Noey, and Autumn.
In addition to her parents, Patty was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Estelle and John Boone; her nephew, Jack Crosswell; and father-in-law, Joseph Warren Broyles.
The family would like to extend special thanks to her caregivers, Amy, April, Deborah, Nicole, Tonya, Tabitha, and Crystal.
