Mortie Stanley Ray, 85, of Newport, died Tuesday, August 18, 2009 at her residence.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Friday at Onslow Memorial Park.
She is survived by her daughter, Wilhelmina Ray Russell of Salty Shores; three sons, Thomas Ray and William Ray both of Jacksonville, and Gaston Arthur Ray of Blaine, MN; sister, Hilda Rogers of Lenoir; seven grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William M. Ray.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
