Mitzi Loveland, 89, of Havelock, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at her home.

Her memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 11, 2026, at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through their obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website. The service will remain on the Funeral Home website for 90 days.

Mitzi was born on August 4, 1936, in Alexandria, Egypt, to the late Hideji and Marica Tamura. She had a deep love of traveling and embraced every opportunity to explore new places and cultures, creating cherished memories along the way. Mitzi loved playing bridge and the friendships that came with it. She had a special gift for cooking and enjoyed spending time with her children.

Her interests were as lively as her personality. Mitzi enjoyed listening to French music, working on crossword puzzles, and staying active through Zumba. When she took a break, she would love watching Judge Judy, appreciating both the humor and sense of justice the show brought. Mitzi will be remembered for her loving heart and the way she made everyone around her feel special and cared for.

Those left to treasure her memory are her daughter, Michelle Loveland Edens of Fuquay Varina, N.C.; sons, Dean Alexander Cramer of Excelsior Springs, Mo., Philip B. Loveland of Atlanta, Ga., Ronnie L. Loveland of Havelock, N.C., Brett Loveland of Havelock, N.C.; sister, Maggy McAfee of Chapel Hill, N.C.; and brother, Eddy Tamura.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Vincent R. Loveland.
