Minnie Ferrier, 78, of Newport, died Tuesday March 6, at Carteret General Hospital.
A memorial service is planned by the family 2:00 pm Sunday March 11, at St. James United Methodist Church with the Rev. Eric Lindblade officiating.
She is survived by a son Larry Ferrier and wife Janice of Newport, and a daughter Lisa Bordenkircher and husband Daniel of Leesburg, FL: three grandchildren: a sister Rose Wolfrem of Lockhaven, PA and a brother Dolton "Red" White of Dover, NC: and several nieces and nephews.
Visitations will follow the service at the church.
Family welcomes flowers or memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society 930-B Wellness Drive Greenville, NC 27834 or Autism Society 505 Oberlin Rd. Suite 230 Raleigh, NC 27605.
