Michael Glenn "Mike" Thornburg

Michael Glenn “Mike” Thornburg, 58, of Morehead City, passed away Thursday, May 10, 2018 at the home of his son, after a battle with cancer.

Mike preferred being outdoors. He enjoyed farming and trout fishing while living in his North Carolina mountain home. Before becoming disabled, he was a heavy equipment operator and traveled wherever the job took him.

He is survived by his 3 children, Ashley Nicole of Durham, Brandon Lee of Lake City, Florida, Michael Glenn Jr. and his wife, Tabbetha, of Morehead City; sister, Melissa Thornburg George and spouse, Ginny Pospisil, of Morehead City; 1 nephew; 3 grandchildren; his dear friend and caregiver, Darlene Campbell; and his dog, Otis who never left his side.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Susie Shuping; his second wife, Linda Palma; and his parents, Harold and Peggy Thornburg.
