Michael George Gillikin, 45, of Otway, died Sunday, September 28, 2014 at Vidant Medical Center.
A funeral service will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Otway Christian Church with Rev. Jack Mumford officiating. Interment will follow at Carteret Memorial Gardens.
Michael is survived by his father Hiram Gillikin of Otway; three sisters Cheryl Jones of Raleigh, Linda Burns and husband Willie of Morehead City, Tracy House and husband Kevin of South Carolina; brother Mark Gillikin of Otway; and niece Allison Burns, nephew Brantley Burns, nephew Damian House and niece Kayla House Chumley.
He was preceded in death by his mother Iva L. Gillikin, and beloved dog Sambo.
A special thank you to those who helped take care of Michael in the ICU of Carteret General Hospital and Vidant Medical Center.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Tuesday at Munden Funeral Home.
