Melba C. White, 77, of Beaufort, died Wednesday, November 17, 2010, at Carteret General Hospital.
Services will be held 2:00 pm Friday at the Harkers Island United Methodist Church with Rev. Brad Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Vergie Mae Cemetery on Harkers Island.
Mrs. White was a member of Harkers Island United Methodist Church, and employed by Carteret General Hospital for 46 years.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Virgil L. White; daughter, Pamela White of Beaufort; sons, Craig White, and Fred White, both of Beaufort; grandchildren, Chris White, Michael White, and Jeremy White; and great-grandchild, Kaselyn White.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Mabel Guthrie.
The family will receive friends 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home.
