Master Sergeant Loren Beeman Aldred Jr. (USMC Retired), 76, of Havelock, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Carolina East Medical Center.

A memorial service to honor Loren’s life will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, May 14 at Munden Funeral Home in Havelock. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through his obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website.

Loren was born on January 3, 1950, in Zanesville, Ohio, to the late Loren Sr. and Faye Aldred. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 26 honorable years. His commitment, discipline, and patriotism were qualities he carried throughout his life and instilled in his family. Following his military career, he remained active in his community as a proud member of the local VFW.

Loren had a lifelong passion for golf. He could often be found on the golf course, which was his happy place. He truly loved every minute on the course. Loren was a true family man, he cherished spending time with his beloved wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew and loved him.

Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving wife Joyce of the home; son, Loren Beeman Aldred III (Leticia) of Santa Rosa, California; sisters, Patty Franklin of Las Vegas, Nevada, Rhoda King of Saintsville, Ohio, Peggy Chapman of Fort Myers, Florida; brothers, Joe Aldred (Balinda) of Canal Winchester, Ohio, David Aldred of Saintsville, Ohio; grandchildren, Zachary Gandy, Anastasia Grice, Brittany Cup Choy, Isabella Aldred; great grandchildren, Rose, Edward IV, Winter, Oakley, Morrigan, Walter, and Integra.

In addition to his parents, Loren was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Renee Gandy; brothers John and Burt Aldred; brothers in law, Frank Franklin, Jim King; and sister-in-law, Debbie Aldred.
