Marlon Kent Adams, Sr.,68, of Broad Creek, died Sunday, March 2, 2014 at Duke University Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held 11:00 am Saturday at Broad Creek Community Cemetery with Rev. Wesley Holmes officiating.
He is survived by his wife B. Jo Ann Adams of the home; children Stephanie Webb and husband Nathan of Effingham, IL, Kent Adams and wife Katie of Broad Creek, Jennifer Harstine and husband Brett of Broad Creek, and Vikki Churchill of England; a sister Clarissa Cannon of Newport; a brother Preston Mann of Broad Creek; grandchildren Heaven Barksdale, Warren Barksdale, Benjiman Barksdale, Pierce Barksdale, Talon Harstine, Addyson Harstine, Tyler Harstine, Dustin Castle, Becca Castle, Kendra Adams, Adam and Matthew Chruchill; and great grandchild Aeryn Lessord.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Geneva Adams, and a brother Glendon Adams.
Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 pm Friday at Munden Funeral Home.
