Mark Morgan, 48, of Morehead City , passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 24, 2025 at ECU Medical Center.

Mark was born on February 14, 1977, in Morehead City, North Carolina. He was a proud graduate of West Carteret High School, Class of 1995, where he enjoyed playing both soccer and baseball. He continued his education at East Carolina University, earning his undergraduate degree and later his MBA in 2000, majoring in Business Administration.
Mark worked for over 20 years as an insurance broker, a career he approached with much dedication. Outside of his work, he enjoyed the outdoors. Mark loved fishing, surfing, and spending time at the beach. He also enjoyed attending basketball and baseball games and was a devoted sports fan. Mark proudly supported the ECU Pirates, the Washington Redskins, and the Atlanta Braves. Most importantly, Mark cherished his family. His greatest joy in life was his two girls, who were truly the apple of his eye. He was a loving and devoted father whose presence and love will be deeply missed.
Those remaining to cherish his memory are his loving mother, Betty Lewis Morgan of Newport, North Carolina; daughters, Kathryn Harper Morgan of Gainesville, Florida, Elizabeth Garrett Morgan also of Gainesville, Florida; brother Tod Morgan (Courtney) of New Bern, North Carolina; niece, Talley Grace Morgan; nephew, Michael Tod Morgan Jr.; and two special cousins, Karen Lynn Lewis of Morehead City, North Carolina; and Jasa Nicole Lewis also of Morehead City.
Mark was preceded in death by his father, Bobby Harold Morgan; and uncle Cooley Lewis.
