Mario "Tony" Faiella

Mario “Tony” Faiella, age 90, of Hamstead, North Carolina Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut in 1932. Died on October 24, 2022, at his home.

Tony was the son of the late Salvatore and Annina Cardinale Faiella. He was a proud United States Marine Corps Veteran with 20 years of service, serving in the Korean War from 1950 through 1951. He was the past president of the Chosin Few Organization in Jacksonville, NC. Tony enjoyed mechanics, gardening, and traveling.

Survivors include his daughter, Toni Teresa Parker; 3 grandchildren, Todd Smither, Trey Waddle III, and Paige Waddle; and 2 great-grandchildren, Abigale Smither and Atticus Reed, all of Frankfort, Kentucky.

He was preceded in death by his siblings, Phillip Faiella, Valentino Faiella, Louis Faiella, Salvatore Faiella, and Lena Altieri; and 11 nieces and nephews.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, October 28th, at Gethsemane Memorial Park located on Highway 24 in Newport, North Carolina.
