Lorraine Conti Slater

Lorraine Conti Slater, 93, of Morehead City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, January 17, 2026.

A Celebration of Life for Lorraine will be held at a later date.

Lorraine was born on June 15, 1932, in Richmond, Virginia, to the late Linwood and Hattie Conti. A devoted member of One Harbor Church of Morehead City, Lorraine lived her life guided by faith, love, and kindness. Her church family held a special place in her heart, and she found true comfort and joy in her spiritual walk.

Lorraine was a loving mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured great-grandmother. Her family was the center of her world. On quieter days, Lorraine enjoyed working on Word Search puzzles, which kept her mind sharp. May Lorraine’s memory be cherished forever and always.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving daughter, Elizabeth Faye Markham (Joe) of Morehead City, NC; grandchildren, Frank Markham, John Markham; and great grandchildren, Rylee Markham, Avienda Markham, and Hattie Markham.

In addition to her parents, Lorraine was preceded in death by her loving husband, Frank Slater.
