Lois Eugenia Prettyman, 82, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at Croatan Ridge Rehabilitation & Nursing Center.

Lois was born on July 12, 1944, in Harbeson, Delaware. She had a beautiful voice and loved to sing along to her favorite tunes. Lois also loved playing Bingo, where she could share plenty of laughs and good times with those around her. Above all, Lois cherished the time she spent with her family and friends and the companionship they shared.

Those left to cherish Lois's memory are her daughter, Dawn Thompson of Newport; her sons, Charles Michael Spviey of Newport and William Keith Spivey of Hubert; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Lois was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings.
