Linda Sue McLamb, 68, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, August 29, 2026.

Sue was born on December 5, 1957, to Clay and Ethel Lewis. The little town of Bettie, North Carolina, always held a special place in her heart, as it was the place where she was born and raised.

Sue found joy in the simple things she loved, especially sewing and cross-stitching, creating beautiful pieces for those she loved. Her greatest joy, however, was her daughter, Linda Sue. The two shared a special bond and especially enjoyed spending time together shopping and making memories.

Sue was also a devoted Cat Mom who loved the companionship of her beloved furbabies, Pepper and Spritzy. They brought her comfort and happiness and were always close by her side.

Those left to cherish Sue’s memory are her daughter, Linda Sue McLamb and her spouse Ritchie Norman, of Morehead City; grandchildren, Joshua Norman and his spouse Kelly Eldred, and Halie Norman; and dear family friend, Debi Davis of Morehead City.

Sue was preceded in death by her husband, Keith McLamb, and her parents.
