Linda Lou Dufour, 71, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away peacefully at her home on Wednesday, March 25, 2026.

Linda was born on May 20, 1954, in Caribou, Maine to the late Leonard and Anna Dufour. She always had a deep love for her family and cherished every opportunity to bring everyone together. Her home was always the heart of those gatherings, a place filled with laughter, warmth, and love. She was a wonderful cook who took great joy in preparing meals for those she cared about, and she truly enjoyed sharing good food with family and friends.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her daughters, Kathy Lopez (Tony) of Newport, NC and Amy Robles (Angel) of New Bern, NC; daughter-in-law, Jodi Lopez of Wisconsin; sister, Anita Hardy of Newport, NC; brother, Maynard Dufour (Nancy) of Newport, NC; grandchildren, Brian “Scotty” Lopez, Crystal Lopez, Nicholas “Nick” Lopez, Sabrina Lopez, Anastacia Robles and Vladimir “Vlad” Robles; and caregivers, Roger and Charlene Stearns.

In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her son, Anthony "Tony" Lopez; sisters, Elaine Martin, Rose Myers, Betty Dow, Marie Mae Willis; and brothers, Bernard Dufour, Lenny Dufour Jr.
