Leota Matte
June 23, 1924 — February 21, 2010
Leota "Lee" Matte, 85, of Morehead City, died Sunday, February 21, 2010, at her home.
Mrs. Matte was a member of the NCO Wives Club, Friends of Fort Macon, Bunco Club, the Rebeccas and a long time member of the VFW.
Services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday at Munden Funeral Home Chapel with interment following in Greenwood Cemetery.
She is survived by a daughter, Velma Lee Daniels and husband Roy of Newport; two grandchildren, Barry Daniels and wife Nancy of Chandler, IN and Kathy Meindel and husband Adam of Ann Arbor, MI and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Valmore Matte, her daughter, Flora McCarthy and husband Donald McCarthy and a grandson, Joseph McCarthy.
The family will receive friends 6:00 - 7:00 pm Wednesday at Munden Funeral Home.
