Leonard "Len" Furtner, 57, of Pine Knoll Shores, went to be with the Lord June 26, 2010,
Len was a devoted family man, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many.
Services will be 4:00 pm Thursday, at Glad Tidings Church with Rev. Donnie Griggs officiating. Interment will follow at Gethsemane Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife Kathy Furtner, a daughter and son-in-law Melissa Klor and husband Wes of Pine Knoll Shores; two sons and daughter-in-laws Joey Furtner and wife Kristen of Pine Knoll Shores and Kevin Furtner and wife Madeline of Pine Knoll Shores; one sister Judy Brown and husband George of Pine Knoll Shores; three grandchildren Karlee and Ben Furtner and John Klor; in-laws Robert and Mimi Turton of Pine Knoll Shores and soon-to-be granddaughter Sarah Klor.
He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Leanore Furtner of Atlantic Beach.
The family will receive friends 2:00 - 4:00 pm Thursday at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials made be made to the Dukes Children's Hospital/online giving, or One Harbor Church, PO Box 1977, Morehead City, NC.
