December 16, 2016 — February 7, 2017
Leo James Cook, 7 weeks, of Newport, passed away on Tuesday, February 07, 2017, at Vidant Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, February 10, 2017, at Peletier First Missionary Baptist Church cemetery with Pastor Chad Blanton officiating.
Leo is survived by his parents, James and Brittany Cook; maternal grandparents, Tina Gaskins and Wayne Schaufenbuel; paternal grandparents, Jeannie (Potter) Cook and husband Michael; sister, Madisson Moss; and great- aunt, Linda Giesler and husband Pete.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Mark Howell; and his paternal grandfather, Max Cook.
We were blessed with an angel. A shooting star that came to fill our hearts with love. While he may have lived a short life, his love and memories will last forever.
