Lee Jones III, 66, of Beaufort, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at his home.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Straits United Methodist Church in Gloucester with Pastor Ben Horton presiding.
Lee worked at Atlantic Veneer and also was a commercial fisherman. He was a member of the Straits United Methodist Church where he sang in the choir. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed camping and had a passion for surfing. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor.
He is survived by his daughter Rachel Lewis of Greenville, NC; and brother, Robert “Bob” Jones of Centreville, VA; and two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee Jones Jr. and Neysa Moran Yates; and brother, Joe “Tim” Jones.
