Laura Mae O'Brien

August 2, 1958 — November 16, 2025

Williston

Laura Mae O’Brien, 67, of Williston, passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025, at her home.

Laura was born on August 2, 1958, in Cherry Point, N.C., to the late Joseph and Nina O’Brien. She had a true artist’s spirit, she enjoyed painting, writing, and doing crafts. Laura was full of creativity and had a vivid imagination. She also had a fascination with crystals and geode rocks, collecting pieces that brought her joy and reflected her appreciation for nature’s wonders.

Laura’s biggest love was her family. She was known for her kind heart. Laura was the best mom, always putting her children first, and her greatest happiness came from spending time with her grandchildren, who adored her dearly. May her memory be a blessing to all who had the privilege to know her.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her partner, Robert Willis of the home; daughter, Nina Mayne (Scott) of Otway, N.C.; sisters, Debbie Dudley (Gregory) of Davis, N.C., Teresa Cook (George) of Stacy, N.C., Mary Kutt of Newport, N.C.; stepsons, Aaron Willis (Ashley) of Wilmington, N.C., Jason Willis of Bridgeton, N.C.; and 8 beautiful grandchildren.
