Kristeena Lucille Cohen-Russell, 24, of Newport, North Carolina, passed away at her home on Friday, August 22, 2025.

Kristeena was born on October 2, 2000, in Morehead City, NC. She was a bright and beautiful spirit who found joy in life's simple pleasures. Kristeena enjoyed listening to her favorite songs on the radio and she was always ready to relax and watch a good movie. She loved playing with her dolls and in her younger years she enjoyed playing soccer. Kristeena was also actively involved with the Girl Scouts, where she showcased her amazing talent for selling cookies.

Bundy) of Newport, NC; father, Ricky Daniel Russell (Jenny) of Swansboro, NC; sisters, Amber Patridge of Newport, NC and Abigail DePaul (Lawrence) of Pensacola, FL; step sister, Ashley Szalku (Ian) of Swansboro, NC; step brother, Chris Arthur (Jacqueline) of Newport, NC; maternal grandmother, Shelia Cohen Rice (Edward) of Jacksonville, NC; paternal aunts and uncles, Irene Huffman of Swansboro, NC, Bertha Russell of Salty Shores, NC, Mary Saul of Hubert, NC, Polly Simpson of Newport, NC, Denise Howe of Pennsylvania, Ray Russell of Swansboro, NC, Walter Russell of Newport, NC, Steve Russell of Jacksonville, NC, Roy Russell of Peletier, NC, and Timmy Russell of Hubert, NC; niece, Charlotte DePaul; and step nieces, Mattis and Maci.

Kristeena was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Harold Cohen; paternal grandparents, Dillard Webster Russell and Lucille Morris Russell; and paternal uncles, Charle Russell and Nolan Russell.
