Kimberly Rutherford Taylor

Kimberly Rutherford Taylor, 62, of Beaufort, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 16, 2026, at ECU Health Medical Center.

A memorial service to honor Kimberly’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 24th at Munden Funeral Home, officiated by Brother Bob Lowery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. For those unable to attend, the service can be viewed through her obituary page on Munden Funeral Home’s website.

Kimberly was born on November 10, 1963, in Leonardtown, Maryland, to William and Linda Rutherford. She was well known in our community through her faithful and dedicated career at Parker Marine, where she worked for 30 years.

Kimberly had a deep love for the outdoors. Living on the coast, Kimberly enjoyed boating and fishing, and she cherished camping trips to Shackelford Banks where she loved hunting for shells along the shore.

She was blessed with 46 wonderful years alongside her high school sweetheart and devoted husband, Timothy. Kimberly loved her family dearly and cherished her granddaughters with all her heart.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Timothy Taylor; son, Corey Taylor and wife Kerry Guist of Beaufort, NC; father, William Rutherford of Newport, NC; brothers, Brian Rutherford and Jimmy Rutherford, both of Newport, NC; adopted sister, Barbara Coleman of Colorado; and granddaughters, Teagan Kay Taylor and Stevie Jade Taylor.

Kimberly was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Rutherford.
