Kathryn "Kathy" Keller Davis

Anna Kathryn “Kathy” Keller Davis, 76, of Morehead City, NC, was called from her earthly home to dwell with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in her eternal heavenly home on Wednesday, June 11, 2025.

A memorial service to honor Kathy’s life will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 19th at St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church in Morehead City. The family invites you to join them in the Fellowship Hall for a reception following the service.

Kathy was born on October 6, 1948, in Wilmington, NC, to the late T.H. “Jimmy” and Alice W. Keller. A dedicated education professional, she earned her bachelor’s degree from Campbell University and devoted over 30 years to teaching kindergarten in the Carteret County School System. Through her work, Kathy positively shaped the minds of countless young learners at the beginning of their educational journeys.

She was a Sapphire member of Alpha Delta Kappa Teachers Sorority and an active member of The Daughter’s of the American Revolution. A committed member of St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Kathy actively volunteered with the Altar Guild, reflecting her dedication to her faith. In her retirement, she enjoyed playing Bridge and was an avid Bingo player at the Dunes Club, Atlantic Beach.

Although she never had children of her own, Kathy’s love for her nieces, nephews, and their children was generous. She made each of them feel special by remembering them on birthdays, Christmas, and special milestones in their lives.

Those remaining to cherish her memory are her beloved husband, William John “Johnny” Davis, and his brother Buddy Davis and wife, Patricia Martin who was her cousin and sister-in-law; sister-in-law, Mary Davis; brother-in-law, Eddie Bullard; nieces, Dr. Julianne Davis, Mary Catherine Davis, Ann Wilde, and Alice Anne Harrison; and nephews, Gus Davis III, Jay Davis, Matthew Bullard, and Marshall Bullard.

In addition to her parents, Kathy was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Bullard; sister-in-law, Jacquelyn Davis; brothers-in-law, Gus L. Davis Jr. and Peter Davis; and cousin, Charlie M. Martin.

The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude to Beverly Davis and her extraordinary team of caregivers who provided exceptional care and support.
