Julia Lee Mead Stipe, 76, of Newport, passed away, November 19, 2009, at Britthaven of Newport, surrounded by her family.
A graveside memorial service will be held 3:00 pm Sunday at Gethsemane Memorial Park with Rev. Ray Connor officiating.
She is survived by sons, Tim Stipe and Jim Stipe and wife Kelly, all of Newport; granddaughter, Sarah Stipe of Atlantic Beach; grandson, Colton Stipe of Newport and a niece, Erin Proctor.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Janet Proctor of Raleigh.
The family will receive friends following the service.
